Private accommodation on 10 acres of land at the base of the Ben ÅŒhau mountain range, 17km from Twizel and 50 minutes from Aoraki Mt Cook or Lake Tekapo. It is ideal for people who enjoy a quiet country location with incredible views, or those who wish to stargaze in the Aoraki Mackenzie International Dark Sky Reserve.
Choose either the luxury cabin for two, or the boutique cottage for up to four people. Both accommodations have a private hot tub.
LOCATION
Te Manahuna Retreat is located on a private 10-acre ecosanctuary 530m above sea level at the base of the Ben Ohau mountain range. It is a peaceful, quiet country location with beautiful views in all directions, yet is only 15km from the town of Twizel, which has everything you need. It is 50-minutes to Aoraki Mt Cook or Lake Tekapo, 2.5 hours from Queenstown, and 4 hours from Christchurch.
DARK SKY RESERVE
Te Manahuna Retreat is located in the Aoraki Mackenzie International Dark Sky Reserve so you can experience the wonder of our pure night skies, free from light pollution and filled with dazzling stars. The cabin and cottage are dark sky friendly and there is almost no light pollution. This makes our location ideal for stargazing and astrophotography.
